About Sugar and Spice Gourmet Foods

From the freshed grown ingredients to the most amazing gluten free products.
Our journey started over 40 years ago when my parents purchased their first home together shortly after they got married. The idea was to grow as much fresh produce as they possibly could to feed their family both immediate and extended in the most sustainable way possible.

Fruit trees were planted, garden beds were organised, and organic compost bins were created. I remeber our food was grown through the seasons and preserving our summer excess throughout winter was a way of life. My cousins and I grew up happy and healthy, eating foods free of preservatives and pesticides; and learning how to do this in our own lives in a sustainable way. Fast forward through the decades and my parents and I are still living the lifestyle, growing our own fruit and vegetables and eggs, using our organic compost to feed back into the fruit and vegetables, harvesting rainwater and solar energy for power. 40 years ago my parents would have been considered dreamers, today they are pioneers and the products we create have been sold all over the East Coast of Australia.
